Sometimes when you see a pattern it’s because there REALLY IS A FREAKIN PATTERN!!  Throw out the “conspiracy theories” open your bloody eyes & see what has been there all along! Join the dots PEOPLE!! USE that freakin 10% of your brain for something other than “what shade of orange will I be this weekend”!! It’s not cute to be STUPID!! Look at the cold hard facts & make up your own mind, don’t take anyone elses word for it. WHY is it that certain things are constantly forced down our throats?? WHY???

Some of you will conclude that the government is making plans in case of an emergency. Whatever you believe these camps to be for the reality is that there is a plan for “evacuation” camps, “death” camps or whatever you choose to call it. There is a plan for martial law should they require it. I guess it all comes down to how much we trust our government to protect our civil liberties & if we really believe they always have our best interests at heart.

Think for yourself, speak for yourself, educate yourself. It’s the only freedom we have left.

I found the above article after seeing a 10 second blurb (oh sorry, news report) on Australian t.v. this morning. I found it quite disturbing. The article is about a proposed new bill that will put all our medical records onto an internet database & all the benefits that go along with this. Now surely I am not so completely & utterly blind to see some of the benefits however having a rational mind means I can also see the obvious flaws in this idea.

Seeing as i’m not here to fill your head with my ideas I will leave the article for you to read yourself. I also feel compelled to share another article with you & a short excerpt from said article.

Some interesting points from the article: ” The Patient Privacy Rights Foundation warns that “over 4 million businesses, employers, government agencies, insurance companies, billing firms, and all their business associates that may include pharmacy benefits managers and pharmaceutical companies as well as marketing firms and data miners” are entitled to see and use individuals’ healthcare records.
The issue is not whether the personal health information the government commandeers will be abused. It is simply a question of when, where, and how.
Medical data does not simply track the number of times a person goes to the doctor seeking a cure for a runny nose or stubbed toe. Medical records can include details of long-ago abortions, impotence or sexually transmitted diseases, anti-depressants and mental breakdowns, AIDS or HIV status, or any number of diseases. No information is more integral to a person’s existence—or more deserving of discretion.
We now know that psychologists were brought to the prison at Guantánamo to exploit detainees’ weaknesses for interrogation purposes. Do the millions of Americans who have received psychological treatment want government agents to have access to their vulnerabilities? Suppose that when a policeman pulls you over for a speeding ticket he can quickly tap into a database with your health records, including any therapy. Even before he walks up to your car window and demands your identification, he will know if you have a “problem with authority.”

I think the articles speak for themselves. What I find very difficult to deal with is the fact that our governments seem to feel they are entitled to act like thieves in the night. It seems that more & more often we go to sleep at night only to wake up in the morning with yet another one of our civil liberties snatched away from us. There seems to be no real need for an open, public debate.

We do not put our public servants in a position of power to make decisions for us. We put them in power to be our voice. It is becoming painfully clear our public servants are either deaf or have selective hearing.

Think for yourself, speak for yourself, educate yourself. It’s the only freedom we have left.

Freedom is not a place, freedom is not someone telling you that you’re free. Freedom is the ability to speak your mind & be yourself without persecution. Freedom is not feeling the need to conform. Freedom is life without fear. When we can say we have all these things then maybe we can say we are free.
